Rejoice O Mary
Handmaiden and Mother
for the angels praise Him
Who is on your lap

Such an honor was bestowed upon you O Virgin Saint. The Lord chose you among women to dwell in you, and you were blessed among humanity.

"My spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He was looked with favor on the lowliness of His servant"

Indeed, our joy comes through the Lord Christ. We experience true joy only through Him. It is for this reason that the Virgin rejoiced and continued to rejoice in serving Christ, her Lord and Son. Likewise, we pray to You O Maste and King, Whom the angels in heaven praise, that you may grant us joy within our hearts. Guide us, Your servants, Your children, that we may serve You with joy. May we serve each other with joy as commanded by Christ:

"Abide in my love. If you keep my commandements, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandements, and abide in His love. I have said these things to you that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete" (Jn. 15:10-11)

"Rejoice in the Lord always" (Philp. 4:4)

The Cherubim
worthily worship Him
The Seraphim too
without ceasing

It is because of our joy in Christ that we rejoice with the Virgin Mother, for Christ the Lord through her came to purge death, and reconcile us once again with the Father, that we may have everlasting life. We rejoice in God our Savior, and proclaim this joy through our humble sacrifice of praise. For in doing so, we share the hosts of the heavenly in their unceasing service of worship and praise. Through partaking in this service, our joy is also increased.

We ask the Lord to guide us in lifting our hearts to Him in prayers, that we may join the Virgin Mother, the Cherubim and the Seraphim, the saints and all the heavenly hosts in the joy of this service.

May the Lord guide our weakness on this earth, and complete our joy, that we may one day see “the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lofty” (Is. 6:1), “the Son of Man, clothed with a long robe, and with a golden sash across his chest” (Rev. 1:13), with the multitude of angels and saints praising and honoring His glory.

We have no boldness
Before our Lord Jesus Christ,
Apart from your prayers and intercessions
O our Lady of us all, the Theotokos

My Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me the sinner. How often have I transgressed against You, O Lord? How often have I dismissed your commadments? Until when shall I remain astray and blinded by my selfish desires? When shall I stop and reflect upon Your glorious Salvation for my sake? Yes, for my sake.

"Of one plant have You forbidden me to eat, that of which You said to me "Of it only do not eat". But accordig to my will, I did eat. I put Your law behind me by my own counsel, and became slothful towards Your commandments. I plucked myself the sentence of death. But You, O my Master, have turned for me the punishment into salvation. As a good shepherd You have sought after that which had gone astray." (Liturgy of St. Gregory)

Therefore, I fear the Lord Christ my God. Him I worship in reverence, honor, glory and blessing. I am His servant, though I am not worthy. But through His love for man, he has "blessed my nature". In Him, I rejoice, and sing praises to His Name.

We have no boldness before the Lord, but we seek your intercessions O Mother of God. For you were blessed among women and were chosen to be the Lady of Humanity. We exalt you the Mother of the True Light, and ask you intercede to the Lord on our behalf, that He may forgive us our sins.[/b]

That we may praise You
with the Cherubim
and the Seraphim
Proclaiming and saying

Holy, Holy, Holy,
O Lord the Pantocrator
Heaven and earth are full
of your glory and honor

Holy is God the Father, the Pantocrator, the Author of Life, and the Creator of all things, seen and unseen, the heavenly and earthly, Who has no beginning nor end, Who sees all, knows all, and forms all. His glory and honor have filled the heavens and the earth. Before His Throne, myriads and myriads, and thousands of thousands, worship Him without ceasing. Holy is God the Father, who created Man in His own image, "in the image of God He created them, male and female he created them" (Gen 1:27) that Man may have dominion over all other creations.

Through our pride, and the envy of Satan, we fell from eternal life, and betrayed the love of the Father. Yet the Father did not leave His Creation in the bondage of sin, and because He loved us, "He gave His only Son, that everyone who believes in Him may not perish, but may have eternal life" (Jn. 3:16). "See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God" (1 Jn. 3:1). This love no mind can fully comprehend! Holy is God the Father, who sent His only begotten Son for our salvation, Who has freed us from our bondage, that we may one day, join the the Cherubim and the Seraphim, and all the Saints in heavens in glorifying His Holy name, proclaiming and saying: "Holy, Holy, Holy!" May we on that Day be worth to praise with the heavenly, and witness what Isaiah the prophet had seen in His vision:

"the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lofty, and the hem of his robe filled the temple. Seraphs were in attendance above Him, each had six wings, with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory"" (Is. 6:1)

Pray for us before the Lord God, O Mother of God, that He may have mercy upon us and forgive us our sins, Amen.

Holy, Holy, Holy,
O Lord the Pantocrator
Heaven and earth are full
of your glory and honor

Holy is His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, Who through the Holy Spirirt and the blessed Virgin Mary, came down from heaven by His own goodwill, and was born for our salvation. Holy is His life giving Body and Blood, sacrificed for the trangressions comitted by us, for the remission of sins. Holy is His life saving Cross, for through it He purged the sentence of eternal death which we brought unto ourselves through the blindness of our pride. Holy is our Savior, who redeemed us from the bondage of the Devil, and the chains of death, that those who obey His commandments may join in the inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven.

We pray in the Name of our Holy Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we may be granted strength, wisdom, and purity, that we may one day be worthy to join the Cherubim, the Seraphim, and hosts of angels and saints, proclaiming and saying: "Holy, Holy, Holy!"
