i was speaking to Bishoy about it and I was told that the schedule during the week has been changed around. Alhan is no longer Monday nights and is now Tuesday nights. They are debating, or from what I've heard, about making the Bible Study either Wed. or Thurs. Then again we have Bible study on Friday at church so I think they might (and don't quote me) just have prayer meeting during the week and just Bible study on Friday..correct me anyone if i am wrong.

by the way, just for whomever wanted to know..i don't ever mind having Bible Study at my house in <insert your name for Charleston Ridge here>, just so we can change it up once in a while, instead of having it in Shobra all the time. though i like having it in Shobra because then everyone there can be present and no excuses "oh it was too far to andrew's house" or whatever excuse it may be.

Yup, that's correct-- we have been wanting to start back up the Shobra/Tanta bible studies, but have found some obstacles b/c of Alhan, etc. It looks like Monday might be the day for the bible studies, we will likely alternate it with Prayer Meetings, as Andrew mentioned.

What day is best for everyone?

Forget Shobra, except unit 1387 (Tony and john and jacob's Unit). I'm gonna go ahead, take the mic and speak for everybody and say, Bible studies are best on monday, at 8. I would suggest my house for sure but it's way to messy. no matter when or where you do it, those who are devoted are gonna go anywhere any time, and those who aren't won't even go next door on days that they don't even have classes. You can't change them, if they wanna live their lives like that it's fine, they are far old enough to make their own decisions and nobody can make them do anything. (George Slams the mic down, makes a loud noise, grabs his water and dances his way out of the room while bougho screams "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!")

Wow George,

I'm glad you've decided to join us outside of the ShoutBox. Smile.

I think Mondays at 8 PM is probably gonna be the best time to do a prayer meeting/Shobra Bible study... We will not limit it to Shobra, but will bounce between there and Tanta/Triumph/Charleston Ridge. I'll send out a mass text message re location and time.

In regards to your comment about people showing up to church-related activities no matter where they are, if they really want to come, I completely agree. It would take a great force and great many obstacles to keep an avid church-goer from missing a service, but you're right, there could be a prayer meeting in a person's living room and they invent excuses why they cannot make it. Aside from encouraging them to come and to benefit from these blessed meetings, we can only pray that God help them and bring them back to His presence. (i.e., mention each one according to his/her name in your prersonal prayers.)

What are everyone's thoughts?

That's fine with me..but like you said, people are gonna make excuses no matter what..like oh we just played basketball so i am tired and i have physics homework. you gotta keep it going whether or not the service is growing or dwindling..if that makes sense.

wooooahhh why don't we do something not church-related. like a car wash, barbeque, we can all get dressed up real pretty-like and have potluck in triumph or shobra... something really random but with all the youth... i was talking to someone from california and they do potluck and they said it worked out really well... and we can do something w/ homeless people and stuff like that. of course the common denominator in all this is church, but it's all quite random...

i remember when we did the cookout and it went well..of course, everyone (including myself) showed up late for it but it was a lot of fun. we played sports and then Bible study. i think we should do it again sometime.
