Greetings All,
Does anyone know where I can find a Deacon's service book in English?
In other threads I have seen a reference to one from Australia, but I do not know where to find it.

The Ausralian book is no longer in print. Ive seen a really good one from America and I'm dying to get it. Ive seen it on the Orthodox Bookstore website. |

isnt that book by Abuna Mathias? cuz if that is it, its like one of the best ones ive seen. we use it in our church and its really good |

i remember that there was supposed to be a new book written by the diocese of the southern US but i've yet to hear any updates about it. i've been hoping that it was coming out soon but that was 3 years ago now. |

LOL... The SUS Diocese's Service of the Deacons is completed and coming out soon.
It is coming out soon after the second edition to the Liturgy Book, which HG Bishop Youssef and HG Bishop Serapion have published.
The deacon's book unfortunately has taken second-priority to the liturgy book, in terms of review and publication, and thus the delay.
Please pray for the successful completion of this project.

I don't think we should rush this project. You don't want the diocese to come out with a book with mistakes or poor translation. Then two years down the road, there is another edition. By them taking their time and reviewing it over and over again, it will be close to perfect. Just like the Liturgy book. We don't have to worry about it (The Liturgy book) coming out with a new edition of it any time soon.
