Hello Tony,
This is the first time anyone has told me about the Quickshout. I will look into it.
As for the forums, it is not a technical issue. We have simply taken Shay and Biskot topics off the home page. They are still in the forums, though. We decided to make the homepage primarily spiritual, not that there is anything wrong with the Shay and Biskot posts. That's just not the primary focus of this web site.
GBU,
ps |

If we are discussing technical problems, the option to attach a file no longer seems to exist or just the method/interface to do so changed. Anyone? |

shay and biskot MADE THIS SITE fun and maede people come back ( in my opinion ) ..
spiritual threads are good indeed ..
but like the music industry controversy is the attraction that will bring them back |

i gree with tony
for the fact that if people dont like the homepage having shay and biskot than the y can quit simply overlook it and not read it but we have to suffer not having our posts which by the way we put a lot of effort in to writing not show up on the homeoage so that people can se it i considr it an offence
just my 2 cents 4give me

It's a waste of space...better to put it somewhere where others can look at it and not let our minds be taken away from more spiritual subjects! |

but it is not always jokes and such
soetimes people have spritual topics that dont fit into the headings so they put it into shay and biskot |

Rest assured, the forum moderators try to place threads in the proper categories. Users should also make more of an effort to begin threads in the proper categories (and not just post a "Shay and Biskot" item under "Ecumenical Discussions" just to land it on the front page!). If there is a spiritual topic that does not fit somewhere, put it under "General Spirituality" or PM one of the forums moderators (CopticSoldier, minasoliman or carolb) with questions.
God bless. |

I have an idea (lightbulb just went off ) Can we have a 3 day poll or a one week poll to see how many people want the shay and biskot section to appear on the front page and who doesnt. The users make the site what it is, w/o the users there would be no need to update the site, so lets have a poll! |

How about this? A site for shay and biskot on its own? I'm glad you guys took them off the site, and to tell you honestly, the presence of people will not diminish on this site. If it does, then the ones who left came for the wrong reasons.
God bless,
Matt |

I have a possible compromise, which would involve some redesign of the front page, so I am unsure of feasibility. What I propose is that for each forum category the category heading shows and and the top thread shows beneath it (if you want to see other threads in that category you click on the heading.) Shay & Biskot will be one though as before only visible if you are signed on.
An example is the home page for another forum I frequent (due to those I share my apartment with. Yes Carol there are more than one now. To see an example of what I mean see www.arachnoboards.com (Sorry if I violated any policy by naming the site, let me know and I'll fix it.) Their equivalent of Shay and biskot is only accessible if you are a registered member and signed on and they are much stricter in that you can't post to it until you've been a member in good standing for four mounths. |

Sorry to go off topic for second, but I could not resist. Oh my goodness, Peter. More than one? Did it multiply or was this a purchase? Dude, that's freaky. We are *definitely* not having a Cranium night (or any other function for that matter) at your apt. Can you imagine Petros's reaction, lol? |

I'm just saying its their policy, does not have to be adopted by CMN.
Also Whatever happened to the book exchange (or was I the only one who visited it) ? |
