As Christians, we are taught to be humble. But there are many people who have extremely demanding personalities (as in, are extremely rude and wish to be controlling and are always taking charge), we don't have to be submissive to these people, do we? Does anyone out there have a way with politely dealing with very bossy people? I for one am not bossy, but I also don't like to be bossed around. How should I deal with naturally bossy people?

Agape, Well, last week at my church Abona just explained a topic that is simillar to this, he said love will do it, and in matter of fact it was something I was strugling with it for a very long time until Abona had this seramony and it worked thanks to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is what I did, I took it from two different presectives, 1. Was out of love, not from the bossy point of view, in other words, I did not think of my manger's orders I do it as he/she was my friend I do it for them. Also, think of it this way, when u deal with God, and u want something so bad u might say in ur prayers God I want to go to this college, or whatever u ask for, here u become bossy too, but, because God loves us he does not take it as u give him order, no rather he takes it out of love.

2. this prespective I kind of developed it a little bit to suit me I want to be promoted at work and when my boss gives me any orders to do even if I don't like him/her(If I did not follow the 1st part) I take it into learning and bulding skills for life.

I will try to make this clear.

Today for example, my manger told me to do something I really hate to do it, but I said fine because I don't have anyother choices and after I did it I realized it took me very short time than what he told me that it should take, and when I went over my rest which I had to do I found out that I was missing 3 rows I did not pay attention to. This taught me how to take my time and be very carefull when I handel these things.
Also, something else u could learn form this person, which is I see how u don't like to be bossed, if u take a charge any time this might be a good leasson to be hummble rather than being bossy,

I hope u understand what I mean,

God Bless,

Peace and Love

Upon reading your post, i could not help but think about the epistle or 1 Peter, specifically the 2nd chapter...

Here is a bit but i encourage you to read the rest...

" 13Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 16Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. 17Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king. "

As Christians, we are called to obey the rule of those who have been entrusted or have come to reign over us. The Bible does not specify if these people are bossy or kind, in fact St. Peter goes on to explain that we must obey moreso when the ruler is more "harsh"

The Lord himself never encouraged us to forget authority, Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." and He Himself obeyed authority in His death...

However, dealing with such people might not be as easy as it seems.. I think the key is not trying to take everything personally, and learning that not everyone in the world loves you, and that sometimes, you just have to do what you are asked...

Finally, I want you to notice something, the Bible says: "17Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king. "... notice, you have to show everyone proper respect, but you do not have to love them all! Think about it, the whole world is not your best friend...

I hope this helped,
God Bless, Plz pray
