Does anyone have a gregorian liturgy in Coptic, or know where i can find one. I know of the HICS one with Mlm Mikhail and Mlm Sadek, but that one is bad quality, and I can't really listen to it. I heard that Ibrahim Ayad just made a learning one for priests. Does anyone know where I can find that one?

Also, does anyone have any recording of Fr. Mettias Nasr Mankorious doing a gregorian liturgy in arabic or coptic? Or maybe Fr. Markos Girgis of Matai or Fr. Ibrahim Aziz guindi? Something somewhat reliable.

Thanks

I have the easter liturgy from my ex-church St. George from 2005 on DVD. On that liturgy Fr. Ibrahim Aziz Gindi does many parts of the gregorian liturgy. But, obviously, the only problem is that it is on a DVD.

If there a way I can upload it....or maybe share it with just you.

Yes, Wagdi Bishara is a reliable source. i compared his liturgy with the liturgy of the HICS and its the same and much better quality. he also has many other things, he has hymns for the resurrection, and basically all times of the year.

You are going to have a hard time finding the prayer of reconciliation in coptic. Here are several liturgies, several good ones, maybe you can find what you are looking for.

Actually Wagdi Bishara has the intire Liturgy of St. Gregory recorded including the Reconciliation Prayer. i still recomend you stick with him. and bear with tasbeha as they are still updating his recordings.

Hey David,

I'm not sure how much of the liturgy is abouna ibrahim (because there are two other priests). I can try to dig a little more and see what I can find for you. ..i'll do so the next time i visit st. george.

To answer your comment, I do not go to St. George anymore. I am now inbetween St. John, St. Cyril and I might start going to St. Verena and AA on and off... I also visit some of the other churches from time to time.... Basically, I'm not bound to any one church right now.

I wanted to post this liturgy for everyone who loves Coptic liturgies. I always thought to myself that no one knows the Gregorian Liturgy in FULL M. Tewfik tune. Or the Cyrillian liturgy besides Fr. Mettias, who would know both since they are pretty close (in his recording). I am wrong. Here's a phenomenal recording of priests at Baramous chanting the LONG Gregorian in the tune. There are around 7 priests chanting the long Coptic TOGETHER!! This recording is amazing.

Anyone who watches this video, I have a question. Does anyone know what the deacon outside chants after the conclusion of the Aspasmos Watos? He ends it normal 'ke ee gees tees agias coo doxees' then says something right after it. What is that thing he says?
