Hey everyone,
I just started a book recently about prayer by Archbishop Anthony Bloom called Beginning to Pray. So far it's really good and I was wondering if anyone has read it before or has anything to say about it..
Thanks in advance! |

It just so happens that this is the same as one of the books that were assigned to the Philadelphia Competition. It is a very good book with some very good insight. However, the author does give instruction on a very deep level of example. I mean he doesn't outright say, " Step #1: do this and this and Step #2: so and so." Rather he states the steps in a very mysterious way and then clarifies them using examples. When I say mysterious I mean something with a very deep meaning that one cannot just deduce from the words themselves. |
