Irini nem ehmot,
Hany, are you looking for a scholarly article or spiritual articles written by our church? If it's church articles then I highly suggest HH's book: "The Spirituality of Fasting", which can be found here: www.copticchurch.org/Texts/Spirituals/fasting.pdf
or try: http://tasbeha.org/content/hh_books/fasting/index.html
That's where the article Mike posted is from (hey mike!)
Also, there are some good articles on suscopts.org : http://suscopts.org/resources/literatur ... ?q=fasting
If you're looking for a more scholarly article...check some nutrition indexes or even pubmed. Also, Rami Bishay wrote a really cool article (though not empirical research) that was published in a UofT newspaper of some sort: http://medbiograd.sa.utoronto.ca/pdfs/vol4num2/4.pdf
or: http://72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:mHN ... =clnk&cd=1
I hope that helps brother...
In Christ,
Jastootie.
(p.s. Pray for me please...) |

Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.
