Let me add to the previous question, what rendition was chosen for the lamentations? And on what basis? |

Father Mattias recorded the lamentations in arabic. And Fr. Barsoum recorded the 6th and 9th litanies in Coptic.
As for the other question for the lamentations, buy the production and find out It'll be the wisest decision you ever made ! |

Where did you come up with introduction tune oniatk enthok o thimas? I heard the Muallim that recorded it, but where did he get this from? I thought Fr. Daniel from the Muharraq recorded in a faster tune. |

Ya David! Are you sure you are talking about Fr. Daniel or are you refering to that recording of Fr. Isiah the muharraqi?
This is the recording that Fr. Isiah did: http://tasbeha.org/mp3/Hymns/Other_Occa ... rraqi.html
As for why the tune by Fr. Isiah is not used...I have no clue

Your answer is in the fourth track of the tenth disc.

No it is not. All it says is here is the hymn by Hegumen Wadee3 Matta. I know that, but where did he get this from? And what about Fr. Daniel's version? |

Yes it is. The recorded tradition refers to the material recorded and which is not only in the sources CDs, but also in Mlm. Mikhail collection on coptichymns.net; and the oral tradition refers to the what his disciples say they learnt from him. So, yes, it is justified. Why do you think it wouldn't be? |
