Dear friends,

I have the blessing of announcing that a new book by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III explaining the Song of Songs (Song of Solomon) is now available!

www.HaveYouSeentheOneILove.com

This book was professionally translated into English from a series of lectures given by His Holiness. I had the blessing of reading some of the chapters prior to its publication, and it is a phenomenal work, perhaps one of the best English translations of His Holiness' work that I have read. If you are interested in studying the beauty, poetry and prophecy of the Song of Songs, and how it relates to the Lord's love for His church, you must read this book!

The book will be available for purchase on May 20, 2008 on Amazon.com, and bulk orders are available for large orders. More info to come on pricing.

In Christ,
carol

Christ is Risen,

Wow! That looks phenomenal. Who led the publishing for this book? It seems like it was extremely professionally done. Looks amazing! Cannot wait to get it! What a great project! God bless all who helped in doing this!

Truly he is risen

I am very excited. I am intrigued to learn more about His Holiness' views on theological anthropology, a topic that I presume will figure prominently in the text.

The book was transcribed and translated by St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Boston, Massachussetts.

I think they've been working on its publication for many years now, too. It's a pretty big book lol. May God bless their service.

Agape,

I had a look at the sample provided in the site, and the translation is very good and reads smoothly in English! It's about time something like this comes out.

Does anyone know when we can order the book?

Hi Bibo,

The books will be available on amazon.com starting May 20; there is information on the website www.HaveYouSeentheOneILove.com for bulk orders.

Pricing information should be available soon. I understand that a very decent discount will be offered for bulk orders.

Please pray for this service.

In Christ,
Carol

Hi Fortunatus,

I believe it's around 330 pages or so. It really goes in depth (it's a translation of spoken Bible study lecture series).

In Christ,

Hi Everyone,
the book is finally out. You can't search Amazon for it yet... that takes about a week.

The link for the website is:
http://www.amazon.com/Have-You-Seen-Lov ... rvi_cart_1

You can order from there. A hard cover version should be appearing in about 1 month, in case you want to hold out.

God Bless

Hey everyone,

Have you guys purchased the book yet? If you have and have started reading it, what impressions do you have?

I've only gotten to read the first couple of chapters, but I personally like how His Holiness can write about the love of God in Song of Songs with such simple terms for anyone to pick up and read. The translation is also one of the best there are for His Holiness' books.

Feel free to share your opinions, anyone. Very Happy

Mike
