Today, after church one of the servents gave a lecture about halloween and that trick-or-treating was a representative of a satanic tradition. I am not planning to where a costume or involve myself in this stuff. However, I have 2 questions.

1. I live in a highrise apartment building that is filled with small children and I know that they trick-or-treat. Am I doing something satanic by giving them some candy when they ring my door bell? Small children do not understand what is going on. They do not have the ability to comprehend as much as adults do. Their parents teach their children that trick-or-tricking is innocent fun.

2. During halloween, many small children have boxes collecting for UNICEF, which is an organization that helps poor children in different countries through out the world. Is it also a sin to give change to these children collecting money for UNICEF? Isn't helping poor starving children a good deed?
